Artist Statements

I have always been fascinated by how people with no money and very little resources are able to find unusual solutions creating art for daily use - just using FANTASY and image. Invention and creativity often arise from desperate situations, becoming the solution.

I have explored many and various mediums in my life journey over three continents.

Mostly self-taught - I love to learn new trades and tricks every where I visit or live - Tin Art and Adobe building in New Mexico or leatherwork in Dakar or Flamenco in Sevilla...

Through making art I bring a sense of spirit, truth, beauty, reality, fun and balance into my world.

I love the joy of teaching art and helping unlock hidden gifts in people.

Art has been my lifesaver many times.
